先日のエントリーで告知しました、イタリアのデザインポータルサイト・designboom主催の「designboom mart 2009 Melbourne」に参加して来ました！今回はその初日の様子をレポートします！
As we noted, we participated in「designboom mart 2009 Melbourne」by designboom that is an Italian design portal site. A report from the first day of the event.
夜のフライトに合わせ、夕方5時頃に新宿発の成田エキスプレスに乗車。成田空港到着後、夜8時半の飛行機で一路シドニーへ"Have a nice flight!"
To take the night flight, we take the Narita Express that goes to Narita Airport from Sinjyuku station at 5pm.After arriving at Narita Airport, took the plane to go to Sydney at 8:30pm. "Have a nice flight!"
シドニー到着後、メルボルン行の飛行機に乗るため国内線ターミナルへ。ターミナルを一歩外に出ると、さっきまでの日本の蒸し暑さが嘘なくらい冷たい風がお出迎えしてくれました。
明日からの数日間、どうなる事でしょうか！乞うご期待！
After arriving in Sydney, went to domestic terminal to take the plane that goes to Melbourne. Once we got out of the terminal, a freezing wind that made us completely forget the humid hotness we just felt in Japan very welcomed us.
しかも、お出迎えしてくれたのは風だけではありません。
And that, not only the wind welcomed us.
帽子の赤い羽の上の白く汚れた部分が見えますか？ハトも頭上から大歓迎してくれました！いきなり「運」がいいです！
Can you see white dirt upper the red wing of the hat? A kind dove also welcomed me. Well, I know sh*t happens.
そんなこんなで、無事にメルボルンの会場に到着！会場の王立展示館の外観です。なんとこの建物と、この建物の敷地であるカールトン庭園は、2004年に登録された世界遺産だそうです！
Anyway, we finally arrived at the place where the event will take place.
This building is "Royal Exhibition Building" and the building and "Carlton Garden" a garden area around the building are world heritage sites that were declared in 2004.
入り口前には今回のイベントである「STATE of DESIGN」のフラッグが。

そしてこちらが建物の内部。王立展示館という事だけあって、細部に渡る美しい装飾に息を飲むものがあります。さらに奥へ進むと、今回の会場であるdesignboom martのブースにやってきました。他のデザイナーさん達との挨拶もそこそこに、早速準備に取り掛かります。
We gasped at the sight of beautiful ornament inside of the bldg. We moved to our place 「designboom mart」and said hello to other designers from different countries. Now, we have to build up.
商品を陳列している様子です。この日の夜はオープニングナイトという事で関係者達が先行でエキシビジョンを観覧していました。明日から、バイヤーや一般の方達が来られます。
Yes, I'm building up our booth. This night was an opening of the event. Pre-opend for only V.I.People who were invited. From tomorrow, buyers and general customers will come.
